Lomo Super Speed GL Optics Rehoused PL Set
These are 1980s Russian cinema lenses, designed to cover the Super 35mm format. They are NOT rehoused still photo lenses. These were the highest performing cinema lenses being made in Russia, and their performance is still impressive today. Wide open they have slightly lower-contrast, are flattering, highlights bloom slightly, and bokeh is stunning. Stopped down to T2, contrast and sharpness increases to peak performance. They have an incredible analogue character, they flare in a unique and very beautiful way, but the lenses handle backlight with ease. Also worth noting, focus breathing is extremely well controlled in this set, and virtually non-existent on the wide and middle focal lengths.
