Zeiss Super Speeds TLS Rehoused S35 PL Lenses
After much anticipation, True Lens Services has achieved what many cinematographers have dreamed of having - dependable Super Speed lenses. Goodbye are the days of tight focus gears, being unable to use clip-on matte boxes, and other mechanics challenges. Although Super Speeds have always been depended on as "cinema lenses" never have they received such an upgrade as this.
TLS was able to do away with the internal focus of the lenses which means the fronts no longer telescope out. Now camera assistants everywhere will rejoice at the fun it will be to work with Super Speeds, now in their rehoused form. The new internal cam drive focus is much improved to the original helicoid focusing system, making it more reliable. You can use as many filters and clip-on matte boxes as you desire, all while having matching focus and iris gears.
Additionally, close focus is improved greatly on the 50mm, as well as the 135mm Standard. The irises are brand new and come with 16 blades for even more buttery smooth bokeh. Circular irises with as many blades as possible will be perfect for the most circular bokeh imaginable - and with the fast T1.3 stop, they are a dream.
